Entry Requirements

EU–Citizens require a passport that is valid a at least another 6 month at date of entry. For all stays with touristic purpose up to 90 days there is no visa required. Please check the visa requirements for your destination at the appropriate consulate or embassy in your country and do this well in advance of your travel date. 

Flight Duration

  • Frankfurt/ Germany to Casablanca 3 to 4 hours.
  • Casablanca to Dakhla 1 hour.

Transfer

ESSAOUIRA
3 - 3,5 hours from Agadir to Essaouira. 2 hours transfer from Marrakesh to Essaouira.

DAKHLA
Ca. 20 Minutes from the airport to the Center.

Health Regulations

No vaccinations are required for Morocco, but immunization against tetanus, diphtheria, polio and hepatitis A+B is recommended. 
To prevent problems with diarrhea be careful with food and hygiene. Always peel fruit and vegetable prior to consumption and drink bottled water only. There is a doctor’s office and a hospital in Dakhla.

Currency/Mode of Payment

Local currency is the Moroccan Dirham (DHM). 1 EUR = approx. 11 DHM. Money can be exchanged at the hotels or at the bank. Credit & Maestro are accepted at most hotels and also at any ATM. 

Electricity

220 Volts altering currency. Only the small European plugs fit. For the big round plugs (laptop etc.) you require an adapter. 

Clothing

We recommend light cotton clothing in summer with a jacket or a sweater for the night, and warm clothing in winter. 

Climate

Dry desert climate with hot temperatures up to 45° during the day and 10°C at night. The average air temperatures are between 21 - 27°C and the water temperatures range between 19 – 23°C.
