Our Tarifa centre was one of the first places fully equipped with the latest Duotone wings and Fanatic and Starboard wing-foil gear. All our Wing Instructors were following the Wing Movement from the very beginning and have been involved in developing modern teaching concepts for our guests. So, no matter if you´re already an independent Wing Foiler or if you like to learn this fascinating new sport, we´ll make sure you will have the best Wingsurfing / Wingfoiling experience possible!

WINGFOIL EQUIPMENT ION CLUB TARIFA
Especially in the early days of a new sport, the dynamics in the development of new gear is huge and every new Model is often 3 times better than the old one. Therefore we´re making extra sure that our Wingfoil rental equipment is always up to date.
At the ION CLUB TARIFA, we choose Duotones Units and Slick wings. For us, those Wings provide a great combination of easy handling and great performance. Those Wings combined with the latest Fanatic and Starboard boards and a wide variety of mast lengths and Foil sizes will make you fly 😎.
SEGURIDAD
All our wing surfing and wing foiling rental guests will be under the supervision of our team, making sure you have the safest session possible. Our team watches over you and calls the rescue boat in case of emergency. The New Angels, the boat rescue service, is present in the water in front of Bibo every Levante day.
If you don’t rent equipment from us, don’t worry. You can purchase from our school rescue cards, which will allow you to use the boat rescue from the local rescue service in charge of the safety on the water here in Tarifa.
FLEXBILIDAD
Since wingsurfing is a wind-driven sport and weather conditions might change, we understand that flexibility is key when it comes to equipment choice.
The best advantage of ION CLUB Tarifa, one of the few centres located exclusively on the Valdevaqueros beach, is the possibility to change your board or wing whenever the wind changes or if you want to try a different set-up!

Your safety on the water is our top responsibility
All our wing surfing and wing foiling rental guests will be under the supervision of our team, making sure you have the safest session possible. ION CLUB Tarifa
Tarifa - la capital del viento de Europa. Al principio de la hermosa Costa de la Luz, donde el Océano Atlántico se encuentra con el Mar Mediterráneo y donde Europa se encuentra con África, se encuentra la Meca para todos los amantes del agua. Gracias a su ubicación, este lugar ofrece viento y sol durante casi 300 días al año, lo que lo convierte en el mejor destino de kitesurf, wingsurf y windsurf del mundo.
Hay dos vientos predominantes en Tarifa - LEVANTE y PONIENTE. El Levante es un viento cálido, seco y fuerte, que sopla del este ("levantar" en español significa "despertar", ya que el sol sale por el este) y puede alcanzar velocidades de 30 a 40 nudos. El Poniente sopla en dirección contraria, desde el oeste (en español, "poner" significa "ponerse", ya que el sol se pone por el oeste) y es un viento más ligero, frío y húmedo que sopla en la costa. La combinación de estos dos vientos hace de Tarifa un lugar perfecto para todos aquellos que quieran disfrutar del viento y las olas.

VIENTO
Durante el verano, el viento dominante es el Levante que sopla desde el este (cross offschore de la izquierda), en otoño y primavera es el Poniente soplando desde el oeste (sideshore a cross onshore de la derecha).
OLAS
En verano, el agua se vuelve choppy pero plano. En la temporada de otoño e invierno puede venir un buen oleaje.
¿CÓMO LLEGAR A TARIFA?
DE MALAGA
Saliendo del aeropuerto, tomar la autopista AP-7 en dirección a Algeciras/Cádiz será el camino más rápido (el coste aproximado es de 15 euros). Acorta considerablemente el viaje en comparación con la carretera nacional, que tarda unos 35 minutos más..
De Jerez a Tarifa
Siga la A-381 en dirección a la A-390 durante unos 24 km y tome la salida 24 y abandone la A-381. Tome la A-396 en dirección a la N-340/E5 durante unos 22 km, luego gire a la izquierda en la N-340/E5 (siga las indicaciones de "Tarifa/Algeciras") y continúe conduciendo durante unos 40 km. Una vez pasado el pueblo de Facinas, casi llegando a Tarifa, verá las señales de "Punta Paloma" a la derecha. Continúe conduciendo un kilómetro más y justo antes del restaurante ZERO 9, gire a la derecha y continúe hasta el aparcamiento de la playa. Nuestro centro está situado justo al lado del restaurante BiBo Beach House.
Desde Algeciras
Continúe en dirección a Cádiz por la N-340, pasando por el pueblo de Pelayo en las montañas; después de unos 20 km verá Tarifa.
Para llegar al centro, pase el pueblo de Tarifa y después de unos 10 km verá el Hotel Hurricane a la izquierda. Después de otros 3 km verá el "Camping Valdevaqueros". Continúe conduciendo durante 200 metros y justo después del restaurante "ZERO 9", gire a la izquierda y continúe hasta el aparcamiento de la playa. Nuestro centro está situado justo al lado del restaurante BiBo Beach House.
