At ION CLUB Alacati we offer a wide range of different wingsurf lessons. Whether you are a complete beginner, without no prior experience in any kind of surf sport before, or a windsurfer, kitesurfer or surfer wanting to learn this amazing new sport, we can help!
Beginner lessons are actually very similar to windsurf beginner lessons. Wingsurf students start on the same board as windsurf beginners, and just trade the sail for a wing. After that the learning objectives for beginners are the same as for our windsurf students, and after only a couple of hours you will be able to ride by yourself.
For the more experienced riders we offer high standard wingfoil lessons. In small groups of maximum 2 people per instructor we teach you how to fly safely, jibe or even jump with your wingfoil equipment.

After handling your Wing is not a problem anymore and you´re able to navigate safely on a beginner Board with your Wing, it´s time to enter the next level. You will be introduced to a safe and efficient way to Wingfoil. The goal of this Intro is to lift your Board out of the water, grow Wings and fly:)
For all experienced Windsurfers and Kitesurfers, it can be booked even without having prior Wing experience. For everyone else, make sure to start with our Wing Surf Discovery first.

Participants need to be able to Wing Surf safely and independently on a non foiling Board in conditions up to 20 knots.

Wingsurf Equipment ION Club ALACATI
ION CLUB Alacati provides the latest equipment from DUOTONE and FANATIC.
Wings and boards are specifically geared to beginners instruction. It goes without saying that we use the most up-to-date safety systems, and our experienced and fully certified instructors teach wingsurfing in an environment characterized by a maximum of safety, allowing you to learn the sport without danger or frustration.

The wingsurf course participants are under the constant supervision of their instructor. Our instructor on the beach or in the water will be watching you, and our rescue team will be ready to assist you whenever you need help.
Flexibility
Booking a lesson online is always a tricky thing to do – we know. Determining which course you actually need, without being on site, on the water and trying is very difficult.
So, don’t worry! No matter which course you pre-book with us. If during the lesson you realise, that another course would be better suited for you, we will always change your booking to the best course available to match your needs.
A word about
ION CLUB ALACATI
ION CLUB Alaçati is a windsurfing and wingfoil center located in the south of the Cesme peninsula, in the west of Turkey, in the bay of Alaçati. The center is only 50 meters from the water, or rather from the Aegean Sea. Our structure is protected from the wind and offers a lot of space, so we can welcome riders and their families in the best of conditions. Hot showers, changing rooms and toilets are also available on site. Our center has a surf shop selling lycras, t-shirts and harnesses for windsurfing and wingfoil. For taking a break between sessions, right next to the ION CLUB ALACATI there is a beach restaurant with sandwiches and drinks available all day long.

WIND
From mid-May to the end of September, the famous Meltemi wind system sets in, which is a north wind that blows in the Aegean Sea all summer long. Normally the wind is lighter in the morning and increases during the day. In spring and autumn the dominant wind comes from the south, it is the Poiras, which is oriented onshore, from the sea to the land.
WAVES
Flat water from May to September, giving ideal conditions for beginners, freestylers and speed enthusiasts. In spring and autumn, sometimes nice little waves break in the bay.
HOW TO GET TO ALACATI?
Coming from Izmir Airport
Leave Izmir airport and follow the sign for IZMIR at the first fork in the road. Continue in this direction for about 12 km. After about 12 km, follow the sign "ÇEŞME" / "ÇEVREYOLU". Stay on the highway access road and continue to follow "ÇEŞME". After entering the highway (with a toll), follow the signs for "ALAÇATI". The toll will cost you about the equivalent of 1 euro, and since you are in a rental car, ask for an OGS or HGS highway ticket. After the toll, take the 3rd exit at the roundabout and 100 meters further, the 3rd exit of this 2nd roundabout. Drive straight on for 1 km, the road will then turn to the right. Continue on this road, you will see the freeway running parallel on your left. At the end of the road, turn left and take the first exit off of the roundabout. Finally, after 3.5 km, turn left and follow the signs "Alaçati Beach Resort".
