Kitesurf Rental Dakhla Lagoon
The ION CLUB kitesurfing center is situated directly on the best spot of the Dakhla Lagoon, providing fantastic conditions with constant winds throughout the whole year, flat water, and more than enough space. Beginners, professionals and everybody else will find kitesurfing at its best here.
The center is equipped with the latest and full range of DUOTONE kiteboarding equipment. Choose freely between EVO, NEO, DICE, REBEL or VEGAS, available in large quantities and in all sizes.
Our Duotone board stocks range from various twintips such as Jaime, Select, Gonzales and Soleil to a variety of directionals, such as PRO WHAM, PRO WHIP and PRO VOKE´s. The range of kitesurfing toys is topped up with click bars and various kite foil boards for you to play with!
Our instructors will be more than happy to help you to find your perfect setup for the day!

Information
As one of our kite rental guests you can use all standard kites and boards available out of the DUOTONE range. Change your kite size or model as often as you like and find your favorite combination each day you kite.
We have a wide selection of standard kites, twintips and straplessboards, as well as wetsuits, harnesses and more. We renew our stock regularly and we always have some of the latest equipment available. So come and ride with us, no need to carry your equipment and you will be able try the latest toys at our station.
SLS, and D-Lab range available in some of our centers at extra cost.
Requirements
A Kitesurf license is required to rent Equipment. VDWS min. Level 5 or IKO 3K. If no License existing we need to do a Level Check up

For All of you who are not just practising one watersport, we created Multisport Rental.
This package enables you to switch between all the standard toys available at the center: Kitesurfing & Windsurfing, but also Wingfoiling and Surfing in some of our destinations. The choice is yours!
Please Note: Wingfoiling is not included in Multisport Rental at Karpathos due to limited availability.

Independent Level is required/compulsary in all sports!
Be aware! The center will not let you use the equipment if you don't have sufficient skills to ride on your own.

Your safety is our responsibility
Ensuring your safety during all of your kitesurfing sessions at the ION CLUB Dakhla Lagoon is a top priority!
All of our kitesurfing rental guests will be under the supervision of our safety team. The watchout station at the Lagon Energy beach is always occupied by a lifeguard looking over the kitesurfers during the day, and able to act immediately in case of any emergency. The safety team is ready at all times to attend rescues with the zodiac.
Flexibility
As one of our kite rental guests, you are free to use any kiteboard and any DUOTONE kite of the range, change your gear as often as you like and find your favourite combination each day you kite.
A word about
ION CLUB Dakhla Lagoon
Dakhla is a city of about 100,000 inhabitants in the south of Morocco, at the gateway to the Western Sahara. It is located on a peninsula 48 km long and 4 km wide bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. Owing to this, and by the magic of mother nature, a huge lagoon has been created between the dunes over the years. Our kitesurfing, wingfoil and windsurfing center ION CLUB Dakhla Lagoon is based on the north-east coast of this peninsula.
This incredible lagoon offers dream sailing conditions for all levels of riders. Constant wind almost all year around, flat water and lots of space. Not far from this lagoon and accessible by 4x4, the ocean offers perfect wave riding conditions (often exceptional) for wave lovers. There is something for both beginners and advanced surfers depending on the spots.

WIND
The wind in Dakhla is mostly from the north/north-east, and offers great conditions for kitesurfers, wingfoilers and windsurfers of all levels, including beginners. In the lagoon the wind is sideshore, and comes from the left.
WAVES
It is not very difficult to find waves near Dakhla or its lagoon. On the Atlantic side, spots like Oum Labouir or the Golden Point make the region a multi-spot place for all levels of riders, whether kitesurfers or surfers.
HOW TO GET To dakhla lagoon ?
From Dakhla Airport
The local airline Royal Air Maroc offers daily flights from Europe. Most planes make a short stopover in Casablanca, sometimes in Agadir. Every Tuesday a direct flight from Paris Orly is possible.
From Dakhla Airport
The ION CLUB Dakhla lagoon center is located within the Lagon Energy Hotel, almost in the water on the lagoon, and is only 45 minutes away from Dakhla airport by road.
