Windsurf Rental Lassarga
ION CLUB Lassarga is located directly on the beach next to the Ocean Vagabond Restaurant. It has the best view of the resort and is just a 1 minute walk from this fantastic wave area. The spot is located directly on a 1.5 km long sandy beach whose headland turns from north-northeast swell wave and thus creates a fantastic wave running to the right. For less experienced windsurfers, on the other side of the peninsula (just around the corner) there is another beautiful sandy beach with shallow water that faces north to south, so the wind there usually blows sideshore from the left. A great freeride and easy sailing spot.
Our ION CLUB center in Dakhla Lassarga is equipped with Fanatic and Duotone windsurf equipment. As our guest you can choose between a fixed board rental option, or a more flexible variaton of different boards to use during your stay with us. Whichever you opt for, you can be assured that the equipement provided will be in top condition, making your windsurf experience with us as good as it possibly can be.

Ensuring your safety during your windsurfing sessions at ION CLUB Dakhla Lagoon is a top priority!
All of our windsurfing rental guests will be under the supervision of our safety team. The lookout station at the Ocean Vagabond beach is always occupied by a lifeguard watching over the windsurfers during the day, and able to act immediately in case of any emergency. The safety team is ready at all times to attend to rescues with the zodiac.
If you still feel a little uncomfortable riding on your own, our team offers a special supervised rental option to enable you to become an independent windsurfer, avoiding any stress along the way.
Flexibility
Since Windsurfing is a wind driven sport and weather conditions might change, we understand that flexibility is key when it comes to equipment choice. Therefore no matter which rental option you choose, you will always have the choice of several different boards to use here in Daklha Lassarga.
In addition to the choice of your board category, you will also have the possibility of actually choosing one specific board during your stay with us. Your fix board, will be there for you at all times, while you still have the chance of using another board if the wind conditions are changing.

ION CLUB Dakhla Lassarga
The Ocean Vagabond Dakhla Lassarga center is located at the Ocean Vagabond surf camp, which is a 20 minute drive from the city of Dakhla, in the very south of Morocco, and situated on the wild and exclusive beach of Lassarga. The center is directly on the spot and offers a breathtaking view of the ocean. From November to March, it is a real paradise for surfers and wave lovers of all water sports activities. A very long and clean wave, accessible to all, will give you a feeling of full satisfaction. There is also the advantage of a walk back along the beach to the peak. As the wind continues to blow during this winter period, you will be able to indulge in the best of watersports thanks to their multi- activity center for surfing, kitesurfing, wingfoil and stand up paddle. For beginners the Lassarga Lagoon is located 10 minutes by 4x4 from the camp, and offers ideal conditions to learn to kite. From April to October the waves disappear little by little in front of the center, and the spot of Lassarga, which is just in front of the bungalows of Océan Vagabond, has flat water and wind which is sometimes stronger and more regular. The center is equipped with DUOTONE, FANATIC and ION equipment.
Océan Vagabond offers our guests the choice of riding on a flat, shallow-water lagoon just 10 minutes away by pickup, or enjoying the wave spot during the winter season. As the only center in Lassarga, the location is almost private.

WIND
The wind in Dakhla is mostly from the North/North-East and offers great conditions for intermediate and experienced kitesurfers and wingfoilers on the OCEAN side.
In the lagoon, the wind usually blows from the left and is side-shore. Ideal for beginners and freestylers.
Kitesurfing, wingsurfing, surfing, and now also wingfoil have become very popular in Morocco, especially in Dakhla.
WAVES
Just in front of the center there is a 1.5 km sandy beach, in front of the point break from which a very nice right wave is running. When the conditions are good, you can surf almost 1km kiting and wingfoiling, from the point break to the fishermen village at the end of the beach. For the less experienced who are not so used to waves, it is quite possible to start and progress in wing and in kite by launching at the end of the wave. For surfers, the return to the peak is usually done on foot.
From October to March, the surfing season is in full swing. Dakhla Lassarga offers one of the best surfing and riding spots for wave riders, kitesurfers and wingfoilers in this Moroccan region. They are also surrounded by different spots in the North on the Atlantic side of the peninsula. The waves of the Sahara are unique and offer unmatched surfing conditions worldwide, perfect for both beginners and progression.
HOW TO GET TO dakhla LASSARGA ?
From Dakhla airport
The center is only 15.5 km from the airport along the main road to the south. For a transfer from the airport, allow 15 to 20 minutes.
If you are driving, take Al Awale Avenue towards Lassarga Road for 4.5 km, then turn left onto Lassarga Road and continue for 10 km.
