COURSE ORGANISATION AND SAFETY
As well as lessons with an instructor, it is obvious that you need to practice again and again in order to learn and progress in kitesurfing. While ensuring your safety on the beach as well as on the water, we organise our lessons in such a way as to maximise your practice time. At ION CLUB Dakhla White Dune Canyon, there are no lessons with 4 or more people sharing a kite. Whenever conditions allow, our instructors make sure you have your own kite to practice and train with in a safe and secure environment, thanks to our lifeboat and safety procedures.
FLEXBILITY
We know that it can be difficult to know what level of kitesurfing course to choose from your home, but there is no need to worry! Whatever package you choose, if your instructor feels that another package would be more suitable, you will be able to change once you are there. You will never have to take part in a course that does not meet your expectations or your level. After each session your instructor will give you a detailed report, as well as advice on how to progress – whatever course you originally booked. Your success and progress is all that matters to us!

Information
Having fun while learning the very basics up to your first water starts. These are the 3 steps to get there :

Flying a kite on land: launching, landing and kite control

Flying a kite in the water: body dragging, control and re-launching

Getting up and riding on a board
You don’t need to be super-fit to kitesurf. And the kit is lightweight, so you don’t need lots of muscle strength either. But of course, a decent level of fitness will help you to progress faster.
Your instructor will be there to support you, coach you, and more importantly, keep you safe through the learning process.
We will provide a range of different DUOTONE KITEBOARDING kites, boards, bars suiting the wind conditions.
Usually, you will do 2 hours/day for the 6 hours course but if there are availability and wind conditions you might be able to squeeze in 2 sessions in a day. Please make sure you contact the center prior your arrival date to check the time of your lesson. Minimum of 24 hours before booking online.

Dakhla is a town of around 100,000 inhabitants in the very south of Morocco, at the gateway to the Western Sahara. It lies on a peninsula 48 km long and 4 km wide, and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. As a result, mother nature has created a huge lagoon between the dunes. Our kitesurf and wingfoil center ION CLUB Dakhla White Dune is located on the east coast of the peninsula, opposite the popular White Dune.
This incredible lagoon offers dreamy sailing conditions for all levels of rider. Constant wind almost all year around, flat water and plenty of space. For wave enthusiasts, not far from this lagoon and accessible by 4x4 the ocean offers perfect, often exceptional wave riding conditions for both beginners and advanced surfers, depending on the spot.

WIND
The wind at Dakhla is predominantly from the north/north-east, offering superb conditions for kitesurfers, wingfoilers and windsurfers of all levels, including beginners. In the lagoon, the wind is sideshore from the left.
WAVES
It's not hard to find waves near Dakhla or its lagoon. On the Atlantic side, spots like Oum Labouir, Aarich and the Pointe d'Or make the region a multi-spot for all levels of rider, whether kitesurfing or surfing.
HOW TO GET TO DAKHLA?
Local carrier Royal Air Maroc offers daily flights from Europe. Most aircraft make a short stop-over in Casablanca or Marrakech. Every Monday and Friday a direct flight from Paris Orly is possible with Transavia.
