COURSE ORGANISATION AND SAFETY
We understand that besides professional tuition, the most important thing when it comes to improving your windsurfing skills is time to practise. Our instructors will create a safe learning environment, enabling you to train and to receive professional feedback on your actions.
Depending on the type of lesson and content we either teach you in small groups or individually.
In order to provide you with instant feedback especially during our advanced lesson program, our instructors use Radio Headsets enabling them to communicate with you while riding.
Flexibility
We understand that choosing a Windsurfing lesson package from home might be difficult. Don´t worry! No matter which package you choose, if during the lesson the instructor realizes that another package would be more suitable for you, you can always change that on site. You will never have to join a lesson, which actually doesn´t suit your expectations or level.
After every session your instructor will give you detailed feedback and recommendation on how to continue – no matter which course you initially booked. Your success and progress is all that matters to us!
A word about
ION CLUB Safaga
Located about 50 kilometers south of Hurghada, the Egyptian destination of Safaga is home to many scuba diving clubs, and is also one of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing spots in Egypt. The contrast between the deep blue and turquoise colours of the Red Sea, and the arid mountains of the hinterland makes Safaga a fantastic setting for your kitesurfing or windsurfing trip in this particularly windy desert. Since 1991, the ION CLUB Safaga center, close to the Shams hotels, has been one of the best addresses among the windsurfing centers in Egypt. ION CLUB Safaga has also offered kitesurfing since 2003, with courses and rentals on offer. One of the highlights of the spot for all windsurfers and kitesurfers are the organized trips to the paradise island of Tobia, a small sandy island located close by.

WIND
In the morning, the wind blows side-offshore, coming from the left when looking at the sea, turning side-shore around noon. The wind conditions in the morning favour kitesurfing and windsurfing beginners. It is also a perfect opportunity for independent kiters to take advantage of an excursion to Tobia Island, a sandy island surrounded by turquoise water less than 4 kilometers from the ION CLUB center ... not to be missed! In the afternoon, the wind turns to side-shore and often becomes stronger, around 20-25 knots, sometimes a little more until the end of the day. In order to limit incidents between kitesurfers and windsurfers, two separate areas are set up, and the few coral areas are clearly marked. You can relax and sail without risk … the Safaga kitesurfing and windsurfing center has thought of everything!

HOW TO GET THERE ?
From Hurghada Airport
After leaving Hurghada airport, take the new highway south to Safaga. Follow the highway for about 45 minutes (60 km), then take the first exit before Safaga. After about 200 meters, turn left in front of the Amarina Hotel and drive to the end of the road, where you will find the Shams Hotels and the ION CLUB center.
